Classroom Procedure Information

Media Center Day: Wednesdays
Students please return books by Tuesday so that you can check out books on Wednesday.
Student Absences:
Please send in a note within two days of the absence. Notes can be sent online via the Taylor website absence excuse form or handwritten note brought in to school. Please always include your child's full name, date(s) of absence, and reason for absence.
EAGLE CARDS Eagle cards keep a record of and inform parents about a student's work habits and conduct. Students are awarded Eagle stickers for their exemplary demonstration of our 3 principles-Respect, Responsibility, and Problem Solving. Eagle cards are sent home in your child's Friday folder. They are to be initialed by the parent and returned on Mondays.
AGENDAS
Please make sure to sign and review your child's agenda daily. The agenda is used to write down reminders for all subjects, activities, and notes that require attention the same day.
Times to Remember:
At 8:20, the first bell of the day rings. Students may enter the building/classrooms/cafeteria. At 8:45, the warning tardy bell rings. Students must be in their classrooms. Students entering at 8:50 or thereafter must be accompanied by a parent/guardian into the building and report to the front office for the sign in process. Students can be checked out of school through the front office up until 2:45. Students being checked out prior to 12:15 will be considered absent for the day.
Snacks:
Please limit snack to one healthy food item. Please send in finger foods for snack. I cannot provide silverware for snacks. Water is the only beverage permitted in the classroom for snack. We will have snack at the end of the day after Specials.
Birthday Celebrations:
Please contact Ms. Blumenthal on the day to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts, food allergies or lunch time changes. It is best to bring small, individual pre-portioned treats such as cookies or mini cupcakes. Please pass out treats during Ice Cream buying time.
